Revival and Hope for Children’s Programme is an NGO Organization , Registered With Kenyan Government as an International Organization With NGOS Co-ordination Board of Kenya Under Certificate number OP.218/051/15-211/9995 and Does Its Operation in E.Africa, Its Headquarters is Based in Kitale Town , The Objective of the Organization is to promote access to Education, Healthcare ,Water and Sanitation services and Mitigate the Impact of Hiv/Aids and Drug addiction

CHILDREN IN PRISON

Women giving birth in prison often face neglect and harm, with incidents of unattended births in cells and shackling during labor, despite professional recommendations for proper care.  Common issues include a lack of adequate prenatal care, forced separation from newborns, and inhumane conditions, Children born in prisons are permitted by the Kenya Prisons Act to stay with their incarcerated mothers until the age of four ,prisons lack adequate resources, and children experience trauma, But after four Years those that dont have Family to trust Them with the Child we will  take the Child under Our care by the Permission of the Parent


Challenges Faced by Incarcerated Mothers

-Lack of Medical Care: Many women receive insufficient prenatal and postpartum care, with some being forced to give birth alone in cells with no medical assistance

-Shackling and Restraint: Women are often shackled with handcuffs and leg irons during labor and delivery, causing extreme pain and injury, as reported by an anonymous woman who gave birth in prison  ,Jails and prisons are ill-equipped to handle childbirth, and conditions can be particularly harmful for pregnant and postpartum individuals, with insufficient resources and support systems.

-Revival and Hope for Children Programme Mission in Prison and Jail is to Help Children Born and Unborn With Pregnancy women, we provide stability and open communication, We maintain a connection with the incarcerated parent through visits for The Children we took from prison that are under Our care.Inmates  receive training in parenting, child development, and other life skills to prepare them for their child’s needs.

Basic Needs: Revival and Hope for Children Programme   Provides  sanitary towels,Pads ,medical help, Jackets for Childrens ,Clothes. shoes,Milk and Skin care Oil, Soap.and Others

-Support their desire to learn by offering opportunities to explore, play, and set realistic, achievable goals and to support their physical and mental well-being and Academic
